some fellow volunteers helped with this project to raise aids awareness and create income generating jobs for malians in bamako and mopti. check it out here.
if you want to help out you can purchase a bogolan bag from a hallmark near you or here.
and this is sara's blog, who helped out with the project.

I ni ce! Somogo dun?!! Somoga ka kene wa? Chris, I'm so happy that you are one of the lucky who get to experience life in Dogon country. The beauty and richness of that place is not easy to put into words. I hope the harvest was good this year. are you in onion country. I regret not ever getting a photo of those teal great angular onion plots nestled in that red rock. Beth says that we should send you some new millet recipes with some nice spices. Do you think your djatigi would go for new variations on an old theme? The village I lived in is south of Sevare and north of Sofara. Boungel is its name. Greet the people there if your bache ever breaks down around there. Allah ka tile here chaya. Allah ka mogo kene di ma (or something like that...) I ni Bara. Jill Thomas, Bisbee AZ
